Jon is an award-winning sound designer, an experienced audio producer and a composer creating immersive, compelling music & sound designs for fictional and factual storytelling.
Drawing on a huge range of eclectic influences and an extensive network of outstanding instrumentalists, he composes and records music in a wide range of hybrid styles ranging from sweeping orchestral music to electronica, choral writing and intimate acoustic textural work.
Specialising in spatial and immersive audio techniques including Dolby Atmos, his sound design work ranges from audio drama, podcasts and VR to work with contemporary music and opera ensembles.
He won the award for Best Use Of Sound at the 2022 BBC Audio Drama Awards, was nominated again in 2023, and was nominated for Best Sound Design at the 2023 Audio Production Awards. Projects he’s collaborated on have won numerous awards at the BBC Audio Drama Awards, Prix Italia, New York Festivals Radio Awards, Broadcast Press Guild Awards and the ARIAS.
His recent clients and collaborators include the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky, the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, Audible and leading independent audio producers.
