Jon's composed several opera / music-theatre pieces, including:

The Seamstress' Revenge: music-theatre piece in collaboration with writer Michael Akraka for actor, solo cello, live electronics and electroacoustic soundscape. Commissioned by and performed at the Birmingham Rep 2006, dir. Ben Payne.

Linda: short opera to a libretto by Paul Godfrey. Performed Birmingham Rep 2007, dir. Anthony Clarke. 

Falling Across: opera to libretto by Michael Akraka. Commissioned by Birmingham Collide Festival and performed St Peters and St Marys Church, Birmingham, 2009, dir. Iqbal Khan.

Blunderbuss: music-theatre piece in collaboration with writer Tom Morton-Smith, performed at the Theatre, Chipping Norton and Latitude, 2009, dir. Anna Tolputt. 

The Madness of Crowds: music-theatre piece exploring mass hysteria in collaboration with writer Ben Payne currently in development. Extract performed at Pilot, hosted by Stan's Cafe, Birmingham 2010. 

Jon is currently developing a new opera project in collaboration with librettist and director Poppy Burton-Morgan.
